Frame, is the essential collateral of a perfect photo, and it is the main concept for this Elefoto photography store. As we look into the store through its shopfront frame, we can see families getting ready to make memories. At the same time, as we look out from the store, all the commotion of a busy city life is also framed by this shopfront window, creating a forever running slideshow of life.

Upon entering the store, patrons will be welcomed by the Living Room. A large framed window at the shopfront invites sunlight in, while it also offered itself as an aperture to the hustle and bustle of city life outside. As the whole process of studio photography is inevitably long and tiring, the Living Room offers a respite for the weary. It has a lounge area, a snack counter and a dedicated kids’ reading corner, to make all visitors feel at home while they wait. On its opposite side, the post-imaging area is opened up to the customers to allow for a more collaborative experience when the staff is digitally preparing the photos.
The make up and costumes areas are set up in second part of the store. A light color palette was used as the background design of these two spaces, an effort to minimize distractions, allowing the customers to be the main focus on center stage.
A main design goal for the store was to create a simple division of spaces and a clear circulation route to help customers navigate through the store with ease.

We hope our design has made the storymaking portion more fun and enjoyable.
